(i) Valid Passport (Not photocopy) –– To Be Submitted Along With The Application. (Letter of request)

(ii) Completed (Filled in) Application Form.

(iii) Copy of flight Itinerary

(iv) Visa Fees Of C$72.00 For Single Entry (Tourist/Visitor/Business), C$25.00 for Single Transit, C$50 for Double Transit and C$144.00 For Double Entries, (Tourist/Visitor/Business) payable in bank certified cheque or money order Only (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable to the “Kenya High Commission”.

(v) PERSONAL CHEQUES, CASH, CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

(vi) One Recent Studio Passport -sized-Photograph.(Taken within six months preceding the application date)

(vii) A Visa Is Required Prior To Entry Into Kenya.

(viii) Visas Are Usually Valid For three Months From the issuance date

(ix) Visas Are Issued Within 7 (Seven) Business Days from Date Of Receipt of the application. Under certain circumstances, the process may take longer than this. Please DO NOT CALL FOR EXPEDITED SERVICE BEFORE SEVEN BUSINESS DAYS ARE OVER

(x) A Self-Addressed Stamped Return Courier Envelope For Priority Mail, Express Mail, FedEx, UPS, or DHL

(xi) Note: For those travelling to Kenya with their pets, see conditions outlined elsewhere on the website.

(xii) Please ensure that all your paperwork is well organised ( i.e photo stapled at the top left side of Application form, while your itinerary and application form are together)

Visa applications without complete requirements will not be processed. Please ensure all the requirements are met.

(i) Single Entry- entry into Kenya once
(ii) Transit-Short stop over in Kenya
(iii) Double Entry-entry into Kenya twice
(iv) Double Transit-Twice short stop overs in Kenya Business Visas-refer to visas to attend conferences, workshops, seminars or discussions. It does not mean that the holder of a business visa is allowed to work in Kenya. Those who wish to conduct temporary business in Kenya lasting up to three months require authorization from Immigration Headquarters in Nairobi in form of Special Pass. One can apply for special Pass after entering Kenya.

PLEASE NOTE

• A visa is required prior to entry into Kenya.
• Visas are usually issued valid for six months from the date of issue.
• Visas are issued within 10 working days from date of application and 12-16 working days during the peak season of May - August.
• Determination of delivery of mail to the Embassy should be done through the tracking system of the relevant mailing service used and not by telephone.
• Applicants must allow for the ten days to elapse from the date the application was received at the Embassy before they can follow up of their individual cases.
• Telephone queries must be made by the applicant only. Third party queries will not be entertained.
• Multiple journey visas are normally issued for a period of six or twelve months.
